Classic & Chrome Car Show This is a fund raiser event by
the Classic and Chrome Car Club to raise funds to support KeithSchool
to display premium cars at the Indoor
Sports Club located on Riverside,
just west of I-90. The Museum is collaborating with the Car
Club to include aviation as well as cars as a theme for the show.

Flag Day - Come
join us for the Second Annual Flag Day celebration. This educational event
is for all ages. Learn about the history of our flag and proper etiquette
from Captain Charles "Chuck" Downey, WWII Air Combat Veteran.
June 20
Introduction to Flight - 9:00 am - Noon This program is held on Saturday mornings twice a year and is
available to youth 10-17 years of age. The program lasts approximately 3 ˝
hours and includes a tour of the Springfield Hangar to view current
restoration projects, a ground school class on the “Theory of Flight”, and
a hands on preflight of a general aviation aircraft. Following this each
youth receives an introductory flight (weather permitting). Call the museum
office to make a reservation (required).
July 19 Third annual Vintage Wheels of
Agriculture.
Featuring an Antique tractor
pull presented by The WeakEnd Tractor Pull Club.
Appearance by WGN Radio personality Orion Samuelson. Music by Dale Rhode
and The Cross Roads. Great Food and Ice Cream. Displays of antique Hit
& Miss gas engines and demonstrations, horse drawn wagon rides, antique
tractors and equipment, antique aircraft, displays inside the Waukesha
Hanger, and an antique tractor parade. Tentative time 1000 AM till 3PM. See the video !!
August 9
Fourth Annual Golf Outing This is a fundraiser
for the Museum held at Timber Pointe Golf Course. An equally important goal
for the outing is for the Museum’s members and friends to have a good time,
get acquainted, and share the camaraderie. Call the office for more details.
August 16 Family Day at the Museum and PoplarGroveAirport
Fly-In Breakfast (Breakfast served 7:00 AM - 12:30 PM) An annual favorite, we’ll have the fire
truck making its rounds between the
PoplarGroveAirport
and our
museum campus. Come enjoy breakfast in the Poplar Grove Airmotive
maintenance hangar, provided by the Poplar Grove Lions. Then meander around
the airport, see the vendors, go for an airplane ride (at Airport Office) and come visit us for
a tour of the museum campus.Family Day at the Museum runs from 10:00 AM- 3:00 PM. This is a great day for the whole family. Kids can make their own
model rocket and launch it. There will be you-control model flying planes
and Microsoft Flight Simulators and more fun activities for the kids. The museum and gift shop will
be open and our popular Dogs N' Brats lunch will be available if you're hungry. Regular Museum admission fees apply. $5 Adults, $4 Seniors, $3 Child 6+, under 6 free.

October 24 - Dog Patch Fundraiser - A Hillbilly Affair!
Don't miss out on a fun evening and the opportunity to support the Museum and it's mission. "Moonshine" begins at 5:30 pm with "Vittles" being served from 6:30-7:30 pm. Hillbilly attire is encouraged but not required. Live music by "Bluegrass Reunion Band. Dinner is being catered by Three Little Pigs. There will be shootin' contests, the Jailbird Shuffle, a Daisy Mae Picnic Basket Auction, Li'l Abner Live Auction and the ever popular Floozey 50/50 raffle! Come join us for a hoot of a time! Dinner reservations: $50/person. Consider a corporation table of 8 for $800! Ya'll come over - ya hear?!
